Our Home Station

Currently working condition includes Kenwood TS-850s, antenna Cushcraft R-6000, AL-80B, and tuner MFJ-962C.

The Cushcraft R6000 (it come from JJ1TBB, Mr. Kawasaki)works perfectly on 10m~20m. Couple months ago, BU2AI found it did work on low bands, though in low efficiency. It's worst on 40m: RX is OK, sometimes it receives strong signals from NA. But the TX is zero. It's the same situation on 30m, 80m and 160m. R6000 is supposed to work on 10m to 20m band. Somehow, it still can work on 160m and 80m. Since it's inefficient on low bands, we can only contact with nearby countries, mostly Japan, Korea, Mainland China and Asiatic Russia. Sometimes we do hear signals from north America on 160m, but it's almost impossible that NA stations catch our super faint signal. Improving our antenna should be the best way to strengthen our signal on topband.
